Mantas Weekly Update: 4th of July Week Practice Changes.

Mantas Families,

Summer goes fast! I told the senior swimmers in the water this morning that next week, yes next week, we start tapering for MRC’s, the first meet in our championship season. I also added that while taper does start next week, we’re not there yet and I appreciate the hard work they’ll put in this week ;)

ALL remaining meets on our schedule can be committed to. There is one remaining Rochester Block Party taking place on Thursday, July 10. This will be a “last chance” for any swimmers who wish to qualify 50-meter distances for MRC’s.

Minnesota Regional Championships is hosted by Mantas Swim Club at Tourtelotte pool July 18 – 20. Swimmers need to have achieved a silver time standard to compete. We also need all Mantas families to help us by volunteering.

All three State Championship meets, in order of schedule, are available for registration. Meet registration deadlines listed.

July 23-24 10 & Under LC State: University of MN, Deadline July 7

July 24-27 11-14 LC State: University of MN, Deadline July 7

July 31-Aug 3 Senior LC State: Fargo, ND, Deadline July 14

THIS WEEK! The 4 ^th of July is this Friday, and we have facilities closing early which limits our practice schedule.

Novice will swim Monday & Tuesday ONLY, 5:30pm – 6:15pm

Age Group1 will swim Monday – Wednesday, 6:15pm – 7:15pm

Age Group2 will swim Monday – Wednesday, 6:15pm – 7:30pm

Senior 1&2 will swim Monday – Wednesday, 5:30pm – 7:30pm
